Day cycle times. We're keeping them multiples of 24 to keep things nice for people in other timezones.

Night cycles will be 24 hours.

That's great. I also think I voted wrong. I didn't notice that nights would be 24 hours before I voted, which screws everything up... =S

Would you rather night be anything else? I don't think a 48 hour night would work well. It'd be two days of everyone sitting around waiting for the wolves to PM people.

Also there's no reason to delay things during the night. During the day it's a common tactic to delay bandwagons or voteswaps etc but there's no reason to do it at night.

I guess you're right. I'm only going on logic, not experience in this game, so I say let night stay the way it is.

I'll put up a poll for it if you want. Democracy and all.

No really, doing that would be against me since it has the potential to prolong the night to 48 hours, which I don't want. You should check with others though.

And 48 hour days, so if I'm lazy I don't have to check too often.

24 not enough, 48 too much. Let's compromise and do 36.

Not doing that to be considerate to people in other timezones who will otherwise have to constantly convert them and it'll be all confusing.

This round will pretty much just be during spring break, right?

Might go over depending on how even the teams are. Almost definitely will go over, actually.

Normally I would go for 24 to keep the game going at a good pace and all, but the only concern that I have is that on school nights it might be extremely difficult, if not straight-up impossible to keep up with the game with only 24 hours. So my idea is that we do 24 hour day/night cycles on no school days, but 48 hour cycles on weekdays/school days.

Maybe, but I'd like to stay consistent.

Also that's a good point though, HEY EVERYONE, realize that this game will last much longer than the allotted week for spring break so vote accordingly. Unless the wolves are straight-up suicidal and lynch each other every cycle, it will probably last maybe two or three weeks. So yes, it will continue on during school.

I'd also like it to stay consistent, but sadly, besides having spring break off, consistency is a bit lacking in terms of my schedule (I'm sure I'm not the only one). C'est la vie. Hence we should keep it at 24 hours for spring break, and 48 hours after that.

I mean, it's not like it's a complicated system. Just we start out on 24, and then move onto 48 when it becomes necessary (I guarantee you it will). At least put it in the poll, let the members decide for themselves.

Also don't forget that having a quicker cycle at the beginning will let us quickly go through the "weeding-out" phase at the start. Then when we're more established after the first week, we can move onto the 48-hour cycle.

I am in favor of the 48-hour time slot, simply because I have school the entire time.
I think that perhaps it could work with 2-day cycles and a 1-day cycle on Sunday.

Monday-Tuesday
Wednesday-Thursday
Friday-Saturday
Sunday

Edit: and alas, the breaker of ties has become the maker of ties.

Would add that in but it's minor enough that it wouldn't make sense to.

Oh dear, a tie. What do.
